The moment the campaign against inappropriate gavels hit the big league
The journalist behind arguably the biggest story of the millennium — the Edward Snowden US government spying revelations — has revealed his latest scoop: the misuse of a gavel by GCHQ, the UK intelligence agency.
Yesterday evening on Twitter Glenn Greenwald tweeted a picture of what he claims is “the logo used by GCHQ in their docs when they talk about British judges”.
And it features a gavel … the courtroom hammer that is, of course, not used by British judges.
