Another pair of loved up solicitors share wedding story and snaps in national newspaper

They found it so difficult to find a honeymoon spot they hadn’t been to before they had to go to Guatemala

A couple of high-flying London solicitors have unveiled their glamorous summer wedding story in the weekend press.

Thirty-three-year-old Olivia Schofield, general counsel at Creston plc, married her solicitor hubby Rob Walker, 32, in June — and just couldn’t resist boasting about it in The Times’ Marriages and Engagements section.

Readers learnt how the pair met at a mutual friend’s birthday party, and then again at a Christmas drinks gathering. The romance “just got stronger and stronger”, and come a holiday in Croatia — after Olivia dived off a docked yacht to help a family struggling to secure their boat onto a buoy — Rob knew he’d found his future wife.

And he was right. The pair married in a village ceremony this summer, before enjoying a reception for 150 guests at Olivia’s parents’ house (which is “a 16th-century farm-house with sprawling gardens”, by the way) where there was croquet, table tennis and giant Jenga.

Sounds like a rather grand affair, but things really got going that evening. Glowsticks, UV facepaint and smoke machines were aplenty as family and friends rave danced into the night. And then:

Olivia spotted her parents jiving to Avicii, the Swedish DJ known for his electronic dance hits.

But tough times followed for London School of Economics graduate Olivia and University of Nottingham graduate Rob. The article continues:

Olivia and Rob, both well-travelled, struggled to find a honeymoon destination where neither of them had been before.

Don’t worry; thankfully the happy couple managed to agree on Guatemala and Belize.
