Streamyard wizard exits Legal Cheek

By Alex Aldridge on

Events industry dealt a shocking blow

A rare snapshot of Khalil in action

As Saad Khalil prepares to depart Legal Cheek, the virtual events community descends into chaos.

Khalil, who spent almost two years mastering his craft at Legal Cheek, spent a great deal of his time on the frontline — managing tech issues with a charming smile, and dealing with all manner of difficult clients.

“I’m happy to take one for the team”, Khalil often remarked as he volunteered to lend his skills on yet another virtual event.

In response to the news, global events platform RingCentral announced that it would be discontinuing its StreamYard production tool, saying “it won’t be the same without Saad… many of our clients have lost faith in the platform, knowing that Saad won’t be around to offer his support.”

This sentiment has been echoed by numerous other players in the industry, with many predicting that Khalil’s exit could mark the end of the ‘golden age of virtual events’.
