He’s aiming for a first class degree too

A University of Cambridge law student who secured his place at the world class university whilst he was homeless has revealed he wants to be Prime Minister.

The face of one of the most uplifting news stories of last year, determined student Jacob Lewis has told local press:

I’m seriously aiming to change the world.

23-year-old Lewis — who aced his A-levels in 2015 despite living on friends’ sofas at the time — continued:

Can you imagine that? ‘Homeless kid gets into Downing Street’. I’m being serious.

A self-confessed Legal Cheek fan, Lewis has now finished his first year at the elite university, and has high hopes he’ll secure a first class degree.

The aspiring politician — who featured on Legal Cheek’s list of influential law students — achieved a solid 2:1 in his first round of results, and plans to really knuckle down this year to get the top grades.

As if working towards a first class degree and a successful career in politics wasn’t time-consuming enough, Lewis also wants to make a difference to a community close to his heart.

Speaking to Legal Cheek, Lewis explained he has a business aimed at ending hunger among the homeless, and has also set up his own college hardship fund.

And, when asked how he’s getting on at uni, he told us:

Cambridge is brilliant, not least because I now have somewhere to live!
